Toyin Abraham Chops Off Her Hair, Puts On Weight, And Spends 11 Whole Days On Set For A New Movie
When a video of renowned Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham’s new look went viral, it raised questions online. Toyin announced that she had recently wrapped up production for the new movie Ori in a clip posted to her page. She revealed that in order to play her part in the film, she had to go bald and put on a lot of weight.
The actress admitted that the job was quite difficult for her and that she had to push herself to previously unexplored heights. The actress also admitted that in order to fit the part, her skin had to darken more than usual. In 2024, Toyin noted, the film will be released in theaters and is expected to be very successful.
In the video the actress posted on her page, she was joined by a few of her coworkers, including Tope Adebayo and movie producer Muyiwa Ademola, who were all dancing and cheering for her.
The actress also recently acknowledged that after her marriage to actor Adeniyi Johnson ended and she started to experience other issues, friends introduced her to narcotics. In an interview with BBC News Yoruba, the actress, 41, discussed her sadness and how pessimism took over her thoughts.
