Skales Speaks About Experience Following EFCC Raid At His Home

Skales, one of Nigeria’s most recognized artists, has spoken out about the “fear” he and his family experienced after a recent raid by the EFCC at his home in an interview with the Terms & Conditions podcast. After agents from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) broke into his home recently, Skales claimed that he and his family are now always afraid, emphasizing the need for law enforcement agencies to be accountable and fair in their investigations. Skales’ case is not the first instance of alleged wrong profiling by the EFCC, indicating the importance of addressing these issues to create a safer, more just society.

With this, Skales reportedly indicated that his life is “no longer safe” and said he has been receiving threats since he publicly spoke against the anti-graft agency in an interview. The “Shake Body” crooner, who has also made headlines for his reconciliation with his wife and the back-and-forth he had with her, claimed he is still able to go around freely since he is “clean.” He did, however, state that his signee, who had been arrested during the incident, is still under detention.
