Tems Explains Why She Will Not Perform At The 2023 Governor’s Ball
Tems recently spoke up about why she won’t be present for the Governor’s Ball 2023 in New York following the official announcement of her performance a few weeks ago. Tems, a Grammy Award-winning singer, has revealed why she will not attend the Governor’s Ball Festival 2023 in New York, which is set to begin on June 9 and end on June 11, 2023.
The singer revealed that she was disappointed and won’t be making an appearance at the concert due to unforeseen circumstances in an official statement shared on her social media platform today, Friday, May 26, 2023.

The singer was previously confirmed to perform alongside Davido and some of the most prominent American artists at the event. However, the GovBall has replaced Tems with R&B artist Ari Lennox, who will take the GOVBALLNYC stage on June 11 at 4:45 p.m. After hosting three concerts in Europe this month, Lennox will play at the festival. Lennox is the third replacement on the lineup, following the departures of Metro Boomin in place of Davido and Remi Wolf in place of Omar Apollo.
During the three-day festival at Flushing Meadows in New York City, GovBall will feature musicians like Lizzo, Odesza, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Nas X, Lil Baby, Diplo, and Rina Sawayama.
