The Cavemen Billed To Perform At The Great Escape 2024

The Great Escape 2024, which will take place in Brighton, UK from May 15–18, has approximately 300 acts confirmed thus far, including The Cavemen, Nigerian Afro-highlife duo.

Over 450 up-and-coming acts and highly anticipated talent are often shown in over 35 walkable locations throughout the city during the festival, which has been going on for the past 18 years. The festival’s mission is to promote “new music discovery” and serve as a launchpad for emerging artists.

Approximately 500 bands from 30 venues typically play. Over the next few weeks, more acts should be revealed. Furthermore, The Cavemen were chosen in keeping with the festival’s goal of enhancing its jazz, R&B, and soul offerings; as this year’s lineup release features a diverse array of performers.

After supporting Afrobeats icon Wizkid on tour at Tottenham Stadium last year in front of 50,000 fans, the Cavemen, the band behind 2020’s first album Roots and 2021’s Love and Highlife, are making a historic comeback to the UK with this performance. The group performed in several prestigious festivals in Europe and Africa in 2023, including Love Supreme, Montreux Jazz, and Lowlands.

Acclaimed as extraordinary artists in the flourishing Nigerian music scene, The Cavemen also just released the music video for their hit song “Adaugo.”
