Usher And Apple Music Release A Short Film Covering The Super Bowl Halftime Show’s Production

In a new documentary produced in collaboration with Apple Music, Usher takes fans behind the scenes of his incredible performance during the Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show.

The 10-minute short video, which was shot exclusively on an iPhone 15 Pro and directed by JAY-Z and Hamish Hamilton, was released on Saturday, February 17. With peeks into rehearsals, studio sessions, and the astounding number of set list alterations, the mini-production offers fans an insight into the amount of work that went into the set.

Alicia Keys, Jermaine Dupri, Lil Jon, will.i.am, and Ludacris were among the VIP guests who Usher performed 13 of his greatest hits for throughout the event. Will.i.am wore a futuristic space mask. There was intricate dance choreography throughout the show, including a roller-skating segment.

There was also a tribute to Atlanta’s strip club scene during the performance. Over 30 million households watched the R&B icon’s performance in Las Vegas, translating to about 100 million people in the United States.

Samba TV, a TV analytics business, reports that this is 5% more than Rihanna’s performance from last year, when she revealed her second pregnancy. Additionally, there are a million more households than there were for the star-studded 2022 performance by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, and 50 Cent.
