“UTOPIA” By Travis Scott Ties With “ASTROWORLD” As The Artist’s Longest-Running No. 1 Album

Travis Scott’s UTOPIA has reclaimed the top spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart for the third time. Furthermore, this indicates the project’s ongoing attention and playback, which didn’t delight everyone but surely sparked a lot of discussion. In fact, if it remains at number one for another week, La Flame will break his personal record for chart-topping albums.

His previous full-length, ASTROWORLD, also spent three weeks on top of the charts, so we’ll see if UTOPIA can topple it in the next week or so. While it hasn’t surpassed the sheer sales numbers of the 2018 LP in its first few weeks, it would still be extremely outstanding.  The fact that Travis Scott doesn’t necessarily have a lot of records to contend with in his work may also be noted by some.

There are just four studio albums, all of which achieved astounding commercial success, to deal with. In any case, this plays with the narrative of which one is his best, a discussion that probably won’t ever get old for fans. UTOPIA may not be your cup of tea, but the “Sirens” MC created a moment with it that he continues elevating to a landmark.

The album also broke its own record for the biggest vinyl sales week (93K copies) for a hip-hop album in recorded history, which it had set only a few weeks earlier. Talk about GOAT status.
