Victony’s “Soweto” Remix Receives Response From Travis Scott

After being released on Wednesday morning, March 22, Victony’s remix of “Soweto,” arguably one of the most eagerly awaited 2023, has cooked up a storm. Victony established the identity of the two performers on the popular song as Rema and Don Toliver with the help of many freestyles from renowned artists like CKay, Omah Lay, and others.

Don Toliver played the popular song during an Instagram live session, drawing the attention of Travis Scott, an adored American rapper. Victony’s “Soweto” remix was the subject of positive feedback from Travis Scott, who also said the song was “hard” when he commented on the live session. Victony’s smash hit song dominated the music scene after its release in 2022; it went viral and garnered over 20 million views on Youtube and a dance challenge.

“Soweto” appeared on numerous top 2022 song lists and spent several weeks in the top 30 songs on Apple Music Nigeria singles chart. It is nearly a year since the song’s release, and it still slaps like it was published yesterday. The song is part of “Outlaw,” Victony’s sophomore EP, which included other hits like “Kolomental” and “Apollo.” Hopefully, this super positive reaction from Travis elicits a future collaboration between him and Ekelebe.
