“We Still Don’t Trust You” Tops Billboard Chart As Future & Metro Boomin Earn Back-To-Back Top Debut

Future and Metro Boomin have had a fantastic year so far, as their second collaborative album, “We Still Don’t Trust You,” debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. This marks the second time the duo has secured chart-topping starts with their recent projects, making them the first artists to have multiple number-one albums in 2024, with two albums in the top 3. The new album has sold 127,500 equivalent units, a little lower than their previous album, “We Don’t Trust You,” which earned 251,000 units in its first week. Future and Metro Boomin collaborated on their second project with several top-tier artists, such as The Weeknd, Brownstone, Ty Dolla Sign, J. Cole, Lil Baby, and ASAP Rocky. Also, on the Billboard 200, Beyonce’s “Cowboy Carter” fell to the second spot. The album marks the legendary singer’s first venture into country music, debuting at number one after its release on March 29.

Apart from the success of “We Still Don’t Trust You,” their previous album “We Don’t Trust You” is still charting and has risen from the fourth to the third spot with 83,000 equivalent album units earned for the latest update. This is a rare feat, as only seven times has an artist simultaneously had two albums within the top three. Future is one of the few artists to have done so, dropping his back-to-back number ones, “Future” and “HNDRXX,” in March 2017. Other artists who have achieved this feat include Taylor Swift, Jay-Z, and more. Future has now released ten number-one albums on the Billboard 200 chart, making him one of only ten artists to achieve this milestone. The other artists on this list include The Beatles, Jay-Z, Drake, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, Barbra Streisand, Kanye West, Eminem, and Elvis Presley. Meanwhile, Metro Boomin has earned five number-one albums throughout his career, which is impressive.
