Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR, a Nigerian politician and economist who was born on July 28th, 1960, has been the fifth democratic governor of Anambra State since March 17th, 2022. Former governor Soludo currently serves as chairman of the board of directors for the Central Bank of Nigeria. On May 29th, 2004, he was named the bank’s governor. In addition, he serves on both the Presidential Economic Advisory Committee for President Buhari and the International Advisory Group for the British Department for International Development.
In addition to Swarthmore College, Soludo has been a visiting professor at the International Monetary Fund, the University of Cambridge, the Brookings Institution, the University of Warwick, and the University of Oxford (USA). The World Bank, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, and the United Nations Development Programme are just a few worldwide organizations for which he has provided consulting services.
