Jenna Marie Ortega is an American actress who began her career as a child actress. She gained prominence for her role as young Jane in The CW comedy-drama series Jane the Virgin (2014–2019). She also earned praise for voicing Princess Isabel in Disney Junior’s Elena of Avalor (2016-2020).
Ortega’s breakthrough came when she portrayed Harley Diaz in the Disney Channel series Stuck in the Middle (2016–2018). For her performance, she won an Imagen Award. In 2019, she played Ellie Alves in the second season of the thriller series You and starred in the family film Yes Day in 2021. The series and the movie were both released on Netflix.
Critics praised Ortega for her performance in the teen drama film The Fallout in 2021. She later starred in the slasher films Scream and X in 2023 and Scream VI in 2023.
