Later, she was accepted to study secondary school at the Federal Government Girl College in Calabar. She studied remedial studies at the University of Calabar for a year. She enrolled in the Unilag College of Medicine to study medical microbiology. She later majored in the field at the School of Medical Lab Science at the Lagos-based LUTH (Lagos University Teaching Hospital).
