Born in Cross River State on July 19, 1971, Kate Henshaw is the eldest of four children. Her primary education was at the private St. Mary’s school in Ajele, Lagos. Later, she was accepted to study secondary school at the Federal Government Girl College in Calabar. She studied remedial studies at the University of Calabar for a year. She enrolled in the Unilag College of Medicine to study medical microbiology. She later majored in the field at the School of Medical Lab Science at the Lagos-based LUTH (Lagos University Teaching Hospital). The Bauchi State General Hospital employed Henshaw, who was a model before becoming an actress. She was in several print and television ads for Shield deodorant. Kate is devoted to her health. She and a few others gave 8 million naira for the boy’s medical care. The family, however, declined all assistance and requested that the money be returned.
