Sofía Margarita Vergara Vergara, best known as Sofia Vergara, is a Colombian and American actress and television personality. Vergara gained recognition in the later 1990s while co-hosting two television shows for the Spanish-language television network Univision. In 2003, she landed her first notable acting job in English with the film Chasing Papi. She later appeared in Four Brothers in 2005, and Tyler Perry’s comedy films Meet the Browns in 2008, and Madea Goes to Jail in 2009. Vergara received an ALMA Award nomination for “Meet The Browns.”
Sofia Vergara was named the ‘highest-paid TV actress’ by Forbes in 2020 after raking in $43 million that year. She entered the fashion world in 2019 when she announced her partnership with Walmart on an affordable and ‘size-inclusive’ clothing line for women. Vergara also partnered with Foster Grant on her own collection of reading glasses and sunglasses.
