Nigeria’s presidential elections for 2023 have come and passed by, and Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling party APC, now president-elect, was announced the winner of the polls by the INEC chairman yesterday morning via a televised broadcast. However, upon the result’s announcement, there have been mixed reactions among Nigerians at home and in the diaspora. While some rejoiced, many others had their faces hung low as the election results were not the expected outcome for them.
Reacting to the controversial election results, some celebrities and public figures have broken their silence since yesterday morning after the results were unveiled. Nigerian rapper Ladipoe shared a video of Tinubu and his supporters celebrating after INEC chairman Mahmood Yakubu declared him the election winner.
The Mavin rapper implied that the election was rigged and posted on Twitter, “Throw myself a party then act surprised,” along with a “zipped-mouth” emoji.

May the best lie win!! Let’s know those ready for the work. It starts today.”
Another Nigerian rapper Falz, who has been involved every step of the election way, also commented on the present state of things.
