2baba Acknowledges Annie’s Love; Admits “Annie Can Burn Herself To Keep Me Warm”

2Baba and Annie are in the news again as the seasoned musician from Nigeria has remarked that his wife Annie’s devotion to him is “scary.”

On a Netflix episode of the “Young Famous & African” series, he acknowledged that his wife loves him more than he does. South African media personality Khanyi Mbau asked TuBaba the question,

“Do you know how much she loves you? She will burn herself to keep you warm?”

The ‘African Queen’ hitmaker said that he knows she loves him dearly and that he needs to work on being a better person. However, he acknowledged that there are some issues he cannot resolve; thus, one must ultimately be accountable for their happiness.

Tubaba said; 

“I think I do….I think. You know…I feel it. Yeah, I feel it. It’s scary sometimes. She has always shown me how much she loves me. She shows it more than I do…..I recognise where I have done wrong. I recognise where I should step up my game. Sometimes, I still slack but besides all of that, it still depends on you as an adult. The truth is, there are some things that I can’t fix. The ultimate level of happiness does not depend on anybody else but you.”

Following reactions from 2Baba’s comments off the show, the Nollywood actress, Annie Macaulay Idibia, has once more pleaded with Nigerians to stop criticizing her marriage. The mother of two pleaded with detractors to cease attacking her union and to quit interfering with her family during an edition of the Young Famous and African show.

The fact that Annie is wed to Nigerian music icon 2baba Idibia, who has had more children with other women after their 2012 wedding, is not a surprise and has been the reason why netizens continue to poke noses into their union as they point out the “disrespectful” side of his actions. The actress was quoted as saying the following in an interview with Khanyi Mbau, a Young Famous and African Co-Star.

“When you meet someone, then you know them first, and then you wake up to different people having babies for him, and then he has five different kids with other women, my first child is his fifth, and I met him before everybody,”  “So you know what that is? You know how many humiliations and embarrassment and damn, and I was like… man… How do you repeat the same mistake twice?”

In the show’s new episode, Annie shed tears as she pleaded with Nigerians to give her marriage a break from all the hate.

“Just stop, give my marriage a break because you guys are busy hoping and praying that something is wrong with my marriage. ”And you just want me to tell you that oh “Innocent messed up”. I don’t even know who my friend is in the group”. ”Stop hoping and praying that something is wrong with Annie Idibia’s marriage😫.”

This is the second time the mother of two has shed tears on the reality show. The actress labeled her detractors and trolls insensitive and said that many of them accused her of being a shame to women and of producing toxic children. In her closing remarks, Annie urged people to stay away from them and their children.

In contrast, 2baba attracted attention after a video of him defending cheating surfaced. During a dinner date with his wife and other show cast members, the multi-award-winning musician claimed that a man might love a woman and still cheat on her due to his sexual desires. This had many followers livid as they considered it “outright disrespect” for his wife, who was also seated at the table. 2Face said,

“A man could love a woman to hell. Hundred percent. His dick would just decide something else. But he won’t ever give a fuck about that person. He just wants to sort out that shit.”
