Aisha Buhari Posts An El-Rufai Video On Aso Rock Elements Opposing Tinubu

On Wednesday, Aisha Buhari, the president’s wife, tacitly supported Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s assertion that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, is being targeted by a gang at Aso Rock. El-Rufai stated on Wednesday that he thought specific forces were conspiring to prevent the APC from winning the presidential election in an interview with Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily.

According to El-Rufai, “I believe there are elements in the Villa that want us to lose the election because they didn’t get their way; they had their candidate. But, unfortunately, their candidate did not win the primaries. “They are trying to get us to lose the election, hiding behind the president’s desire to do what he thinks is right.”

But on Wednesday, Aisha shared an excerpt from El-Rufai’s interview with Channels TV on her Instagram page, emphasizing the point where he said there had been a gang up against Tinubu at the Villa. To prevent comments on the video, she did not leave any, and she also turned off the comment box. Instead, Aisha used the hashtag “#longlivethefederalrepublicofnigeria” to caption the post.

Although El-Rufai withheld the identity of those involved, he claimed they were upset that Tinubu beat them in the APC presidential primaries. He continued by saying that those responsible hid behind President Muhammadu Buhari’s commitment to upholding morality. This occurred only a week after Tinubu said there were attempts to thwart his presidential bid and prevent him from winning the election during a campaign rally in Ogun State.
