André 3000 Confirms Rumors He Auditioned For ‘2 Fast 2 Furious’ Role

Did you follow the rumours that trended weeks ago about André 3000 trying out for a role in “2 Fast, 2 Furious” that eventually went to Ludacris?

Well, in a trending recent interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, André spoke on the matter and revealed that he wasn’t the best fit for the role. Although the interview happened last month, the news only started spreading on social media on February 17th, sparking a circle of conversations. When Colbert asked why André never appeared in the popular film franchise, André explained that he did try out, but it wasn’t meant to be.

Andre made the statement with a hint of humour, saying,

“I think Ludacris took the role, I actually tried out. I tried out for Fast & Furious, and Ludacris actually took the role.”

During a recent interview, the former OutKast rapper revealed he was too nervous and unprepared to play a character in the Fast & Furious franchise. He praised his fellow rapper Luda for his excellent performance as Tej Parker in seven films. In addition to discussing his acting career, André 3000 explained why he chose to focus on the flute in his debut solo album, New Blue Sun. He revealed that he has an extensive collection of around 40 flutes. Later on, during his performance, he showcased his musical talent and unique style by playing a 10-minute rendition of his song “That Night in Hawaii When I Turned into a Panther and Started Making These Low Register Purring Tones That I Couldn’t Control… S**t Was Wild,” accompanied by a live band and a traffic cone on stage.
