Barbra Streisand To Release New Music After A 6-Year Hiatus For The Tattooist Of Auschwitz Series

There will be new music from Barbra Streisand soon!

The legendary EGOT winner said on April 17 that she will be releasing “Love Will Survive,” her first new song in six years, later this month for the upcoming Peacock and Sky Original series, The Tattooist of Auschwitz.

Featuring Kara Talve, Walter Afanasieff, Charlie Midnight, and the renowned Hans Zimmer, “Love Will Survive” will be published on April 25. It is also Streisand’s first song for a television series. In a statement, Streisand said she was motivated to sing the song especially for the show, which narrates the tale of a 1942 meeting at the Auschwitz death camp and the subsequent aging of the two lovers.

The Tattooist of Auschwitz is a true story that was molded by Heather Morris’ 2018 book of the same name. It tells the story of a Jewish man from Slovakia named Lali who is sent to Auschwitz and given the responsibility of tattooing other prisoners’ identifying numbers. He meets Gita there, and the two decide to stay alive together despite the Nazis’ continual surveillance.

The show then centers on an 80-year-old newly widower Lali who meets Morris, a budding writer at the time, and tells the tale of his relationship with Gita. Harvey Keitel portrays Lali in his older years, while Jonah Hauer-King plays the role of the young Lali. Gibson is portrayed by Anna Próchniak, and Morris is played by Melanie Lynskey.
