Burna Boy Instructs His Support Vocalists To “Shut Up,” Eliciting Fan Reactions

The Grammy-winning Afro-fusion musician, Burna Boy, recently began a heated social media discussion after a video of an encounter with his backing vocalists surfaced online.  Fans’ perspectives on Burna Boy’s behavior were decidedly different, as has always been the case.

It featured Burna Boy speaking to his backup vocalists when they chimed in on the Grammy-winning artist’s rendition of Wizkid’s Ginger song, Burna Boy demanded that he “shut up.”

The celebrated musician quickly turned around and gestured for his group to switch to his hit song Ye, which redirected the performance’s momentum.
