Cereal Brand Deal Sabotage: Snoop Dogg & Master P To Sue Walmart, Others For Allegedly Hiding Their Products

Rapper Snoop Dogg has taken legal action against Walmart and Post Foods for producing and distributing a breakfast cereal that he and hip-hop artist Master P branded. The cereal was initially named Snoop Loopz when first introduced in 2022 but was later rebranded as Snoop Cereal. The lawsuit is aimed at Post Foods, which is responsible for producing and distributing the cereal to Walmart stores.

According to sources, Snoop Dogg and Master P have accused Post Foods of exploiting their brand and infringing on their property rights. They claim that the cereal packaging and marketing campaign were designed to fool consumers and that they were done to prevent the cereals from being placed in stores. The case is ongoing, and both parties have yet to settle. In a statement by their attorneys, it read,

“To expand their reach, Snoop Dogg and Master P approached major brands to engage in a partnership and promotion agreement to distribute Snoop Cereal with national retailers. However, despite one company agreeing to the agreement, it allegedly sabotaged the success of Snoop Cereal by preventing it from reaching consumers through deceptive practices.”

“Post Foods allegedly used deceptive practices to sabotage the success of Snoop Cereal, such as intentionally holding boxes of Snoop Cereal in the stockrooms of Walmart stores, marked with ‘no location’ coding, preventing them from being placed on store shelves,”
