Charlamagne Tha God Says He Regrets Endorsing Joe Biden & Kamala Harris For White House In 2020

Charlamagne Tha God admitted to regretting his endorsement of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the 2020 US presidential election. The co-host of The Breakfast Club, neither a Democrat nor a Republican, spoke with Politico about his views on American politics, expressing his disappointment in publicly backing the Biden-Harris ticket. Charlamagne has revealed that he still faces criticism for endorsing Joe Biden as president in the 2020 election.

“‘Damn, you told us to vote for [them] .’ Do you know how many people say that to me all the time?”

He said,

“I’ve learned my lesson from doing that. Once they got in the White House, she … kind of disappeared.”

“When I give people my word like: ‘Yo man, I think we should be supporting Kamala Harris for vice president … because she’s going to hold it down.’ When we say those things and people don’t see her holding it down, that causes issues.”

He has recently expressed disapproval of the Biden administration. During the lead-up to the election, Biden appeared on The Breakfast Club in 2020, where Charlamagne, the host, raised concerns about whether the Democratic Party takes the black vote for granted. A moment from the interview where Biden responded to this question has since gone viral.

“You’ve got more questions, but I tell you … if you’ve got a problem whether or not you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t Black.”

Joe Biden’s comment stirred controversy, but his apology did little to appease critics. Charlamagne Tha God, the radio host who initially defended the statement as a “terrible granddad joke,” has since taken a more assertive stance. He is now calling on Biden to drop out of the race ahead of the 2024 election, which is just around the corner.
