General Admission tickets for Coachella formerly started at $450 to $550 when they were directly available. And as April approached, ticket prices on the market for GA tickets rose above $675 for a three-day pass. But on April 4, after Kanye West announced that he would no longer be headlining Coachella 2022, Coachella ticket prices on secondary ticketing markets tanked across the board.
Digital Music News got a tip from TickPick.com which led them to investigate prices for the weeks leading up to Coachella. Secondary tickets used to go for $685 and above before April 4. Now a one-day GA ticket can be purchased for $390 on TickPick.com, which means a 56% decline in ticket prices from when Kanye was still on the list if headliners for the fest.
Not only are Coachella ticket prices down at TickPick, they were also down at SeatGeek and StubHub were also, both being very popular secondary ticket markets. Prices on StubHub for GA Coachella one-day pass now starts at $327, and that is before taxes and fees. Over at SeatGeek, the ticket prices are even way cheaper, with a one-day GA ticket price starting at $259, before taxes and fees.
Other artists slated to appear at this year’s live festival in the desert include the likes of Harry Styles, Megan Thee Stallion, Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Swedish House Mafia, and Carly Rae Jepson.
