Nigerians Fume At Afro Nation’s N228,000 Ticket Prices
The ticket costs for the Afro Nation festival have been revealed, and Nigerian fans have reacted strongly to this news.
On June 9, 2023, the yearly Afro Nation music festival will make its way to Nigeria. The news was received by Nigerians with great enthusiasm and panache. Like their counterparts in Mexico, Ghana, Portugal, and Puerto Rico, these music enthusiasts desired to partake in the same activities.
The festival’s organizers revealed the ticket prices over the weekend as sales began this morning. The event will take place on December 19 and 20, 2023, and tickets are expensive. The initial offering of VIP Weekend tickets is N228,000 per individual. The price of the payment plan ticket tier is a little higher; it begins at N266,350 per person for the initial release. The upcoming release will set you back N303,639.
The Afro Nation website states that these tickets will provide access to the following amenities: Priority festival entry, an item of exclusive Afro Nation merch, priority access to book a table on the Leopard Lounge, and luxury serviced restrooms. Unrestricted access to the front of the stage (be within arms reach of the artist).
Nigerians, however, reacted vehemently to this pricing announcement due to the rising cost of living and the nation’s overall economic situation.
