Tank Explains Why He Thinks Chris Brown Is Better Than Michael Jackson
This is a controversy that has raged throughout Chris Brown’s career, and it has also sparked a number of conversations about musical influences. Although Michael Jackson is widely regarded as the King of Pop, some critics argue that Brown is a superior musician. They’ve mentioned his hits, dance routines, and inventiveness outside of music, but staunch Jackson supporters refuse to give Breezy more credit than the King of Pop.
A viral tweet rekindled such debates once more: “Chris Brown is more talented than Michael Jackson… there I said it! Have a great week.”
It wasn’t long before the social media platform flooded with responses, but after screenshots found their way to Instagram, the fire was further fueled further. Thousands of others responded to the Neighborhood Talk, including R&B legend Tank, who agreed with the message.
“I’ve been the only one saying this and i’ve felt alone for so long,” wrote Tank. “Welcome to the fold! Singer, Dancer, writer, producer, actor, painter, clothing designer, gymnast, ninja, etc!!! [shrug emoji] MJ is the greatest but CB has more gifts is all we’re saying..[praying hands emoji] .”
While many Brown fans agreed with Tank’s assessment, those on the other side of the debate were more concerned with Jackson’s talent and range in his discography, rather than any lack of innovation outside of music.
