Davido’s fourth studio album, ‘Timeless,’ has been a huge hit in the Nigerian music industry. In a recent interview with prominent podcaster Adesope Adesoji, Davido revealed his amazement at the overwhelming love and acceptance he has received from fans, despite the fact that his previous ventures were not as well-received. ‘Timeless’ has had extraordinary success, shattering records on digital streaming platforms and charts around the world.
Davido, on the other hand, addressed the continuing rivalry between his and Wizkid’s followers. In an interview with the BBC, he recalls warning his fanbase coordinator not to fight with Wizkid’s supporters in order to ensure a peaceful release of his album. Despite his warning, fans proceeded to leak the record two days before its release date. Davido explained that he is on good terms with Wizkid and that fans play an important role in musicians’ development.
Davido also recently discussed what Burna Boy did following the sad occurrence in 2022 that left Davido and many others heartbroken. He said in an exclusive interview with Hot 97 that Burna Boy called him after the incident and that they spoke. Although the two singers are no longer as close as they once were, they intend to reconcile their differences. Davido also stated that his friendship with Wizkid has improved significantly following the death of his son in 2022, and he explained why he did not include any American artists on his ‘Timeless’ album.
