As per the most recent report released by Chart Data, the artists with the highest sales in 2023 are Drake, SZA, NBA YoungBoy, The Weeknd, and Taylor Swift. Thanks to album sales of almost 10 million, Canadian rapper Drake has taken the second spot on the list. Since its September 2022 release, his album “Certified Lover Boy” has amassed a massive global fan base.
SZA, the American singer, has made it to number five on the list with almost five million albums sold in the US. Her album “I Hate You” was released in June 2022 and has received critical acclaim for its unique sound and style. NBA YoungBoy, the American rapper, has secured the sixth spot on the list, selling 4.2 million albums. His album “Sincerely, Kentrell” was released in September 2022 and has been a hit among his fans.
The Weeknd, the Canadian singer, has also made it to the top 10 list, ranking seventh by selling 3.9 million units. His album “Dawn FM” was released in January 2023 and has been well-received by his fans for its unique sound and style. However, Taylor Swift has unsurprisingly topped the list by selling a massive 19 million albums, more than double the number of albums she sold in 2022. Her album “Moonlight” was released in November 2022 and has been a runaway success, breaking several records and winning numerous awards.
