Dua Lipa Releases A Thrilling New Single, “Illusion,” Ahead Of Her Third Studio Album

Dua Lipa has released “Illusion,” a dance-oriented new song with house influences.

The single, which is the third to be published from Dua Lipa’s upcoming album “Radical Optimism,” was presented last night (April 11). “Illusion,” co-produced by Kevin Parker of Tame Impala, is a lively four-on-the-floor track with pianos and synths.

Dua Lipa can be seen dancing with synchronized swimmers and high divers in the music video for the song, which was filmed in beautiful pools all across Barcelona, Spain. Lipa released the first single from the album, “Houdini,” in early November of last year. She then released “Training Season,” which she premiered at the Grammy Awards earlier this year, before releasing “Illusion.”

On May 3, she is scheduled to release her third studio album, which is shaped by “psychedelia, trip-hop, and Britpop.” In addition, Lipa recently disclosed which song—during the recording of the upcoming “Radical Optimism”—gave her the “eureka moment.”

It was announced last month that Lipa, Coldplay, and SZA would be the headliners at Glastonbury in 2024. It is said that she is planning to record her trip to Worthy Farm for a forthcoming documentary. She also revealed that she would be doing a run of European gigs this summer in addition to a one-off event in the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London this autumn.
