Elon Musk Reacts To Post On Drake & Kendrick Lamar Feud
These few weekends have seen an intense feud between the biggest names in hip-hop, Drake and Kendrick Lamar. The media has covered this extensively, with both rappers releasing diss tracks that have caused fans to take sides. Interestingly, Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, has been closely following the feud due to the significant amount of traffic it generates on Twitter. This traffic is good for Twitter’s bottom line. Twitter has proven to be an excellent platform for commentary and up-to-the-second updates. When DJ Akademiks went live to give his take on the feud, Elon said, “Everyone is talking about this battle!”
Since acquiring Twitter, Elon has faced much criticism over his handling of it, with many arguing that the platform has gotten worse. Bots are wreaking havoc on the website, and the overall experience has been negatively impacted. However, Elon remains optimistic about Twitter’s future and believes that he has made improvements to the platform. Interestingly, despite these issues, the high level of engagement generated by big stories like the Drake and Kendrick Lamar feud has helped to mask these problems.
Although not typically associated with hip-hop, despite his affiliations with some of its stars, Elon is keeping a close eye on the feud. He did not reveal which rapper he thinks is winning, as this is not his area of expertise, per se. However, he took the chance to bring more attention to himself and his platform as reactions trailed his comment on DJ Akademiks’ page.
