Inquiry Into Mohbad’s Death Gains Momentum As Police Await Bella Shmurda Co-operation; Calls Unto Public For Any Useful Information
The PRO of the Nigerian Police Force, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has stated that they are awaiting information from Bella Shmurda regarding Mohbad’s demise. A close friend of the late rapper Mohbad, singer Bella Shmurda, reportedly offered information to the authorities that would help them in their inquiry. Because the circumstances behind Mohbad’s untimely death continue to be a challenging mystery, the police are diligently looking into the networks of people close to him. One person of great interest in this probe is Bella Shmurda, a close confidante of Mohbad.
The rising musician Mohbad reportedly passed away on Tuesday amid controversy. According to the authorities ‘ announcement on Thursday, the singer’s death is the subject of an inquiry. The police department has also urged anyone with information on the deceased musician, especially friends and family, to come forward.
Controversial investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo gave Bella Shmurda 48 hours on Saturday to contact the police and report what he had witnessed.
She stated on her X account:
“Bella Shmurda,”. I’m giving you 48 hours to report to @PoliceNG and speak with @Princemoye1 or to force CID Ikoyi.”
According to Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer Olumuyiwa Adejobi, they eagerly expect Bella Shmurda’s help because he was a close friend of the late rapper Mohbad, and his knowledge could be essential to their current inquiry. A police spokesperson, Adejobi, quoted her message and said,
“I am expecting to hear from him.”
Bella Shmurda had earlier claimed in an interview that Mohbad attempted suicide due to a dispute with Naira Marley’s record label, Marlian Music. Additionally, he asserted that the late artist was under threat. Naira Marley and his record label responded to the news by issuing an official statement acknowledging the untimely passing of the ex-signee four days after word of Mohbad’s death first surfaced. He touched on a few topics in the official statement Marlian Music posted on his page, indicating that he had no involvement in the deceased’s passing.
