Keith Urban Set To Join The 25th Season Of The Voice As A Mentor

The 25th season of The Voice is getting another celebrity!

Keith Urban will join the popular reality singing competition series on April 8 as a mega-mentor to help the singers who have advanced through the battle rounds get ready for the knockout stages, NBC said on Monday. The 56-year-old Grammy-winning Australian country music artist will join current coaches Chance the Rapper, Dan + Shay, John Legend, and Reba McEntire on The Voice.

During season 15, Urban made an appearance on The Voice as Blake Shelton’s coach. He also served as a coach for seasons 1, 10, and 11 of the Australian adaptation of the show. Along with his responsibilities on the show, Urban is getting ready to drop a new album that includes his two most recent hits, “Straight Line” and “Messed Up as Me.”

As a sequel to The Speed of Now Part 1 from 2020, the upcoming project will be undertaken. Mega-mentors on The Voice in the past have included James Taylor, Taylor Swift, Wynonna Judd, Ed Sheeran, Snoop Dogg, Usher, and more.

Urban made a surprise comeback to the show last year as a coach for the season 21 finale. After participating in American Idol as a judge for seasons 12 through 15.
