Kesha Previews Her First New Single Following The Dr. Luke Lawsuit Settlement

Kesha has returned with fresh music!

The 37-year-old “Tick-tock” hit-maker teased her return on Wednesday with what looked to be a new song. “Freedom, I’ve been waiting for you. Everything’s changed now, we haven’t talked in a while,” she sung in the Instagram video.

The same words were previously hinted to by the singer when out on the town with Morgan Wade and Kyle Richards. The pop diva put up a cardboard sign that said, “Freedom I’ve been waiting for you,” complete with a heart emoji, when the three of them were waiting for the valet after dinner.

Together with releasing two more official images on Instagram, Kesha also pointed her admirers to a new website. The images featured her posing in a revealing white dress on a rock in a lovely setting. Kesha made her comeback to music after speaking with V Magazine for an interview that was released last year.

The conversation took place barely two months after she had ended her legal dispute with producer Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald in June 2023, and after she had split from record labels Kemosabe, RCA Records, and Vector Management. Having decided to settle Gottwald’s defamation lawsuit outside of court in June, Kesha hasn’t released any new music until now.
