Justin Timberlake’s “Everything I Thought It Was” Ready For Release; Previews New Single “Selfish”

Justin Timberlake is back! And what a time to return!

By releasing an album trailer and a sneak peek at the lead single, “Selfish,” Justin Timberlake has teased his upcoming album, “Everything I Thought It Was.” At the free Memphis concert he announced a week ago, Timberlake debuted new music. Yesterday, January 19, the “Sexy Back” singer performed “Selfish” live for a select group of fans at the Orpheum Theatre. A clip of “Selfish” was uploaded on Instagram, allowing fans to recognize the chorus’s lyrics. At every turn, the former Timberlake is evident, and guess what? He’s still our favorite. Those vocals…

Timberlake also posted a segment of his album teaser to Instagram following his performance in his hometown. Star Benicio del Toro narrates the prologue, which features a model automobile and gas station with the “Mirrors” singer staring into a painted sunset.

When Timberlake deleted all of his social media, there were rumors that new music was on the way. 2018’s “Man of the Woods,” which was called an “ace project,” was his last solo album. For their first song in over 20 years, “Better Place,” Timberlake and *NSYNC just got back together. The song was termed a “love letter to our fans,” according to Timberlake. The singer will also make a musical guest appearance on Saturday Night Live on January 27 alongside guest host Dakota Johnson and be a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on January 29.
