Man Arrested After Reported Break-In Attempt At Taylor Swift’s NYC Townhouse
The singer’s Tribeca townhouse appears to have been the subject of another break-in attempt, this time by a man who was apprehended nearby. On Saturday, January 20, police responded to a report of an unruly individual. Witnesses claimed that the man attempted to enter the townhouse early in the afternoon but was unsuccessful, according to the New York Post. An NYPD representative said on Sunday that while police would not confirm a break-in attempt at Swift’s residence, they did apprehend a man on the same block after learning he had attempted to open a building’s door. Authorities withheld the man’s identity. According to the spokeswoman, the individual was once charged on an unrelated 2017 Brooklyn warrant for allegedly not responding to a summons.
There have been multiple break-ins and attempted break-ins at the Tribeca home, some involving stalkers. A man who had entered two Tribeca homes connected to Swift was arrested in 2022 for trespassing and stalking. Another incident involved a man who allegedly refused to leave until he met with Swift after crashing his car into the townhouse.
