It’s been almost seven years since Mel C and Joe Marshall broke up, according to reports.
The Spice Girl and music producer have been dating since December 2015, and as their relationship has gotten stronger, Joe has taken on the role of her manager. According to reports, the couple, Scarlet, 13, Mel’s daughter from her relationship with Thomas Starr, a real estate developer, and Joe’s two kids all reside together in North London.
But in recent months, it seems that their hectic schedules have kept them apart, with Mel “not afraid to be alone if she thinks it’s for the best.” According to a source, their breakup was amicable and Mel prioritized spending her free time with Scarlet.
“Mel has an incredibly busy career between her book deal, DJ-ing and other plans,” disclosed a music industry source. “The little free time she does have is devoted to her daughter Scarlett, and that doesn’t leave much time for a relationship,” they said in addition, this time to The Sun.
The singer, 48, has never made her personal life a public topic and hardly ever discusses her daughter or romance. As The Spice Girls prepare to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their second album Spiceworld, Mel has been busy lately after being forced to postpone a portion of her tour at the end of last year owing to Covid.
