A$AP Rocky Is Being Sued For Defamation Over His Involvement In The 2021 Shooting By A Former Mob Member

A$AP Rocky and Tacopina, a former Trump attorney, are being sued by Terell Ephron, alias A$AP Relli, and his attorney Camille Vasquez for allegedly defaming him. According to court documents obtained by Rolling Stone, the individual at the core of A$AP Rocky’s criminal case has retained former Johnny Depp lawyer Camille Vasquez and is suing the rapper and his defense attorney for defamation.

A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, entered a not guilty plea to two counts of using a semiautomatic weapon during an altercation in downtown Hollywood in November 2021, where Mayers is accused of shooting and injuring his longtime friend and former A$AP Mob member Terell Ephron, aka A$AP Relli.

Attorney Joe Tacopina, who has defended former President Trump in his legal battles with Stormy Daniels and E. Jean Carroll, has portrayed Ephron as a spiteful and envious ex-colleague in his defense of Mayers. In interviews with several media publications, including Rolling Stone, Tacopina asserted that Ephron was attempting to blackmail Mayers and “trying to get money from Rocky.”

Vasquez and her colleagues argue that Tacopina engaged in a press campaign to “impugn and malign” Ephron after the civil lawsuit Ephron filed against Mayers last year. They list 10 occasions in which they claim Tacopina misled the media via Mayers.
