Naomi Osaka Shares Beautiful First Pictures Of Her New-Born Baby

Naomi Osaka, a four-time Grand Slam champion, has shared the first photos of her newborn baby girl with the public. On Thursday, July 14, 2023, the Japanese uploaded the images to her official social media accounts. Her child was donning a white all-in-one with pink and green tennis balls and rackets embroidered.

Osaka announced her pregnancy at the beginning of 2023 and said she would return for the Australian Open in 2024. Shai, their first child, was born last week in Los Angeles to the four-time Grand Slam singles champion and her boyfriend Cordae, 25.

Before the pregnancy, though, and due to her mental health issues, Osaka had been unable to build on her victories at Wimbledon and the US Open leading to her being depressed. After being shocked by finalist Leylah Fernandez in 2021, the 25-year-old announced she would take a break from the sport. Also, after being criticized for refusing to participate in post-match interviews, she withdrew from the French Open that year and revealed she battles depression.

Osaka’s decision to take a break from tennis resulted from her recognizing the importance of prioritizing her mental well-being. She expressed the need to step back and focus on self-care, which is crucial for her long-term success on and off the court. Fans will be glad that she is reconsidering returning to the game as she tries again to reach the pinnacle of her success.

Alongside a tennis ball emoji, she wrote,
