Nick Jonas And Priyanka Chopra Move Out Of $20M Home; Involved In Mold Infestation Lawsuit
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are facing issues with their lavish mansion and have moved out due to construction defects and mold, as per a recent lawsuit filed by the couple. The celebrity duo purchased the Encino house through a trust in 2019, but now they claim that the property needs repair. Despite the unfortunate circumstances, the couple is taking the necessary action to rectify the situation and restore their home to its former glory.
Their claims that the home is “virtually unlivable in parts” are based largely on purported mold issues and waterproofing difficulties surrounding the deck and spa area. In addition to being “dangerous from a health perspective to occupy,” the lawsuit, which was brought by a trustee of Nick and Priyanka’s trust, claims that fixing the mansion will cost the pair millions of dollars. The lawsuit has some images to support its claims, though it is unclear how much money is being sued for. They are claiming damages over $2.5 million. Due to the numerous parties suing one another to determine who is liable for the faults, the lawsuit has been dragged out for some time.
According to a source with direct knowledge, Nick and Priyanka are very disappointed with the building issues. With the house still under repair and the countersuits, nobody is currently living in the house. They’ve made other living arrangements in the meantime. It is unclear who is to blame for the defects. While other lawsuits have been filed over this situation, no one is suing Nick or Priyanka specifically, especially as they have not been the only occupants of the mansion since its construction. The contractor, CW General Construction, Inc., has not yet responded to requests for comments from the media.
