Portable Clears Air On Dammy Krane Collaboration; Says He Has No Issues With Davido

In response to criticism that his recent collaboration with Dammy Krane suggested he was joining Dammy to disparage the DMW boss, controversial musician and street-pop artist Portable has spoken out to clarify the situation. The contentious singer Habeeb Okikiola resorted to social media to explain that, contrary to what has been suggested, his joint song with Dammy Krane is not a diss track against Davido. Portable emphasized that his collaboration with Dammy Krane was purely for artistic expression and not meant to provoke any feud. He further asserted that he has always maintained a good relationship with Davido and has no intention of causing any rift between them.

Amid the continuing social media feud between OBO and Krane, a diss track against Davido was recorded by Dammy Krane, and it seems Portable was featured in the track, as revealed by their viral studio session promoting the song. In response to the speculation, Portable clarified in a video statement that went viral on X that his studio meeting with Krane was entirely professional and unrelated to his conflict with Davido. He explained that his studio partnership with Dammy Krane had nothing to do with his conflict with Davido and was only a commercial endeavour. Portable continued by saying that the song he and Dammy Krane produced was a prayer song. Speaking in Yoruba and Pidgin, Portable stated,

“Dammy Krane sing with me una say we insult Davido. It was strictly business. Music is business. Now, because of say Dammy Krane dey fight with Davido make we no sing together? Uncle Dammy Krane and uncle Davido make una forgive each other.”
