Producer Rexxie Responds To Wizkid’s Remarks Regarding Viral Catchphrase “Abi Kin Pe Rexxie?”

When Nigerian producer, Rexxie, released “Abracadabra,” which features Naira Marley and Skiibii, he probably did not think it would go this far or create this much buzz on and offline. The song had been on the charts for a while but just hanging there at a low position until the catchphrase “Abi Kin Pe Rexxie?” went viral out of the blue. Like that was not enough, well-decorated Afrobeats musician Wizkid jumped on the wave, posting the tune back-to-back on his Instagram story.

From that moment, the song became an official anthem, going ahead to steal the number-one spot on the Apple Music singles chart from Omah Lay, who had held the position for a couple of weeks. Rexxie, overwhelmed by the love and support from fans and fellow artists, especially Starboy himself, came on Twitter to express his gratitude. But it seemed Wiz was not done with the hit producer. Rexxie’s recent post suggested Wiz’s interest in working with him.

In another tweet, Rexxie teased that the song’s remix was ready to be unleashed with a surprise guest act, who we should guess. Are you thinking what we’re thinking? If our speculations are accurate, many years from now, Rexxie will seat his kids down to narrate how one song changed his life.
