Rema Is Awarded Plaques For Selling Out The O2 Arena And Hitting One Billion Spotify Plays

Rema has been elevated to a certified global status by bus recent feats for which he was presented with two plaques. The Afrobeats sensation sold out the 20K capacity O2 Arena, making him the fourth Nigerian artist to achieve the huge accomplishment.

At the end of his successful London show, the superstar was awarded two different plaques for both selling out the O2 and getting over one billion streams on his global hit, song “Calm Down,” which featured Selena Gomez. The same song has broken other music records and gained several international award recognitions.

In only four years, the Mavins signee has accomplished many significant career milestones. With his most recent achievement, Rema joins Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Asake as one of the Nigerian artists who have sold out the O2 and provided live streaming on YouTube for the fans that cannot make it to the show.

The song’s audio is doing as much numbers as the video. Recently, the “Calm Down” remix music video hit 700 million views on YouTube. It already holds the record for the most-watched Nigerian music video on YouTube, as it keeps up the pace to a billion views.
