With more than 200 million Spotify streams, Burna Boy’s “African Giant” album previously held the record for the most streams. “Love, Damini,” which broke that record, features hits like Kilometre, Last Last, and For My Hand featuring Ed Sheeran, was a big smash when it was first released in July 2022.

There are 19 tracks on the blockbuster album, including joint efforts with Victony, J Hus, and Ladysmith Black Mambazo. This extraordinary achievement not only demonstrates Burna Boy’s exceptional musical abilities but also the unmatched expansion of Afrobeats.

Nigerian music is becoming more well-known abroad thanks to artists like Burna, whose unrelenting commitment to his profession keeps propelling him to greater heights, in addition to his fans’ steadfast support, of course.

This latest achievement also serves as evidence of his remarkable commercial success, which hasn’t stopped since he rose to prominence internationally in 2018 with the smash song “YE.”

Burna Boy also received Grammy nominations after winning the coveted award for the first time with his 2019 album “African Giant.”
