Rema’s Song “Calm Down” Gets Football Fans Wild In Qatar

A recent YouTube video of a stadium filled with Qatari fans singing and swaying to Rema’s song, Calm Down, serves as evidence of how the Nigerian music business is expanding around the world. Nearly the entire stadium appeared to be throwing a fan fest for the Mavin record label artist, and the audience’s reaction to the song could be clearly heard and seen.

“Calm Down” just has to be Remmy Boy’s biggest hit till date. The song was formerly released as a single in February, weeks before the release of his blockbuster début album, Rave & Roses. The song got a surprise remix with none other than Selena Gomez herself! The power collaboration immediately took the song to a new level and even gave it the ability to crack into the Billboard Hot 100 charts where it has been for weeks now.

For those who are not aware, Rema is one of the emerging Afrobeat musicians of his generation who is growing the fastest. So fast it’s almost scary. Talking about the young star’s three-year rise to fame internationally, his songs have continuously appeared on former US president Barack Obama’s annual music playlist which is a huge feat. He also recently worked together with the MigosOffset on a new hit single, “Only You” with Stany.
