Ryan Leslie Makes A Comeback With His First Album In Almost A Decade

Ryan Leslie makes a comeback with his debut album in nearly a decade, “You Know My Speed.”

“You Know My Speed” was also released under Leslie’s own label, Black Phoenix Enterprises, and his most recent full-length album, MZRT, was released in 2015 under his own distribution. “Sounds,” the album’s closing tune, has the only feature from fellow R&B artist Bobby V. You Know My Speed has ten tracks and about 38 minutes of duration.

For the song “Falling Hard,” Leslie also dropped a music video, in which he can be seen performing in a studio. Ryan Leslie also revealed a European tour that would happen in March and April of this year to go along with the album’s release. The 10-date tour will start at London’s O2 Academy and travel to Germany, Switzerland, Spain, the Netherlands, and France in order of completion.

Leslie already talked about his impending comeback to music in a Sway Calloway interview from the previous year. Leslie made a big splash on the music landscape in 2009 with his carefree, romantic self-titled debut album, which produced hits like the timeless “Diamond Girl” and “How It Was Supposed To Be.”

Transition, his follow-up album, was later nominated for a 53rd Annual Grammy Awards nomination for Best Contemporary R&B Album. In the end, Usher’s Raymond vs. Raymond won the prize.
