Skales Explains How Naira Marley Requested His Removal From A Song They Both Featured In

Skales, a Nigerian musician, has detailed how his colleague, Naira Marley, requested that his (Skales) verse be removed from a song by a Tanzanian artist, Harmonize, which featured both of them. Skales stated that he was surprised when Harmonize contacted to notify him of Naira Marley’s position because they had no beef.

He claimed to have taken the Tanzanian singer to Naira Marley’s home to record the song. The ‘Shake Body’ singer said this while speaking on the newest episode of the audiovisual podcast Doyin’s Corner. Skales has recently been revealing previously untold stories, and months ago, in a previous interview, the singer detailed how some fellow artists helped him during difficult times.

He revealed how his senior colleague, Timaya, put a roof over his head at a time when he was homeless. Skales claimed that shortly after his contract with Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment, where he had produced some hit songs, ended, he became homeless.

The musician went on to say that when Timaya realized he was homeless, he cried and offered him his penthouse to live in. Skales also mentioned another musician who assisted him during a difficult time in his life, Olamide, who provided him money to shoot a video for his song, Shake Body, a gesture that transformed his life.
