Naira Marley Discloses His Footballing Past And How He Used To Play For Arsenal

Azeez Adeshina Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, a Nigerian singer, has emphatically said that if he hadn’t been raised on the slums of London, he would have become a football player. The 32-year-old is regarded as the leader of his contentious “Marlians” fandom and one of the most popular musicians in Nigeria.

When he was younger in England, according to Naira Marley, he played for Charlton, Millwall, and Arsenal youngsters. He eventually relocated with his parents to Nigeria. He didn’t seem to be saying it out of regret, which is understandable given how well the music hustle worked out.

Marley also said that his father had a significant impact on his knowledge of and use of his native Yoruba tongue in the interview with Cool FM. Before this, unknown to many, Naira previously made headlines in April for tweeting about his unwavering devotion to marijuana.

Many users rushed his page, warning him against statements or acts that could further deepen moral degradation and encourage young minds to embrace drug misuse in response to the post that was deemed insulting. While he is regarded as one of Nigeria’s most successful musicians, the same cannot be said of his behavior, particularly when it comes to voicing his opinions on social media.
