Skepta And Portable Team Up For “Tony Montana”

Skepta offers Portable his first significant international collaboration. As he prepares for the release of his new album, British-Nigerian sensation Skepta has teamed up with Portable for an exciting Afrobeats record called “Tony Montana.”

Skepta explores Afrobeats on the song, which was created by the renowned ace producer Jae5, drawing on his Nigerian background. The ‘Tony Montana of London’ EP was published by Portable earlier in 2024, following his well reported trip to the UK, where he collaborated and met Skepta.

The song has created a lot of excitement on social media, as fans have expressed admiration for Portable’s contributions. Unlike his typical rough street music, Portable has given a cohesive and melodic chorus. Tony Montana is Skepta’s follow-up single to “Jangrova,” which included Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck and Idris Elba.

In the recent film Tribal Mark, about a British-Nigerian hitman, Skepta makes his directorial debut. Skepta claims he was tired of hearing the calls for a black actor to assume the well-known James Bond role and made the decision to try something new.

One of the singles leading up to Skepta’s sixth album, “Knife & Fork,” which is anticipated to be released later in 2024, is “Tony Montana.” Check it out below:
