Skepta And Portable Arrive For The 2023 British Fashion Awards In Style
The British-Nigerian rapper Joseph Adenuga Jr., also known as Skepta, and Nigerian street-hop vocalist, Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, had the opportunity to link up at this year’s edition of the British Fashion Awards in London.
In a viral footage being circulated on social media, Portable was spotted walking the red carpet alongside the rapper and his entourage upon their arrival at the event. The Zazu singer looked chic for the occasion, with a two-piece jacket and matching sneakers.
Portable himself also posted on his Instagram a video of Skepta dancing to his song while driving to the event. At one point, the rapper joined in, clearly impressed by the music he heard. Before they were allowed to enter the award ceremony, Portable was also seen hanging out with Skepta and his group in a different video.
Another video shows Portable accepting a large sum of money from Skepta, which he immediately shoved inside his blazer. Appreciative of the kind gesture, Portable stated he planned to utilize the money to empower people back in Nigeria so they can improve their standard of living.
In addition to meeting Skeppy, Portable also met the Afrobeats queen herself, Tiwa Savage, at the same event and spoke to her about a possible future collaboration, which the female singer seemed open to it from her reaction as seen in a different footage from the event.
