Skibii Reveals “True Originator” Of Viral Track ‘Abracadabra’
In a recent interview, Skiibii revealed some intriguing information about the hit sensation “Abracadabra” that took the entertainment industry by storm in late 2022. The talented Nigerian musician and performer Abbey Elias discussed the topic with Adesope Olajide, a renowned Afrobeats publicist and journalist, on his widely popular podcast, Afrobeats Podcast. During the conversation, Skiibii divulged the origin of the infectious song that had the world grooving to its beats.
According to the singer, he was the initial owner of the popular song. However, he generously gave it to the two-time Grammy-certified producer Rexxie without receiving any royalties. Skiibii further revealed that he had written two verses for the song. Still, Naira Marley heard it in the studio and expressed interest in joining, which led to removing one of Skiibii’s verses.
Skiibii revealed that Rexxie had requested his song, and after some consideration, Skiibii decided to give the producer the piece. He reached out to his manager before making the decision. It’s been thrilling to see the success of Abracadabra, with even Wizkid expressing his admiration for the song, which led to the remix’s release.
