Superboy Cheque Reveals The Tracklist And Artwork For His Second EP, “Chequemate”

Superboy Cheque will release a new EP titled “Chequemate” on July 28th, 2023. While announcing this information, the trapper apologized for the delay and claimed it would be worth the wait.

The Penthauze signee (Phyno’s mentee) had previously declared that the body of work will be released on July 21st, but that date was pushed back a week. According to the artist, he wishes to provide the best for his fans and music lovers. This would be the second extended play from the artiste.

Cheque published his first EP dubbed Razor in 2020, which had five hit songs and was one of the top five Nigerian albums on Itunes in 24 hours. Zoom, one of the tracks on the EP, has over 26 million streams on Audiomack and also topped several music charts. Later that year, the track, which was the EP’s lead single, was nominated for the City People Music Award for ‘Popular Song of the Year.’

Following that was Cheque’s “Bravo” album, which brought the young talent back to the forefront as one of the artistes who has worked hard, grown, and is one to watch in the Nigerian music industry. Superboy Cheque has had an outstanding catalogue so far, so it’s only right that we anticipate his sophomore EP. Needless to say, this Friday, all Cheque fans will eat good.
