Davido Reacts After Being Named The “King Of Afrobeats”

Following the successful release of his album “Timeless,” singer Davido has responded to being dubbed the “king of Afrobeats” by Forbes magazine. Following the successful release of his fourth studio album “Timeless,” multi-award-winning singer and performer David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, opened up in an exclusive interview with Billboard News about what it’s like to be dubbed the “king of Afrobeats” by Forbes in the most recent Africa magazine issue.

The musician acknowledged that he has always taken a lead role in promoting Africa. He explained that he actively advocated African culture while attending school in Alabama during that time. He also decided that if he were to pursue music, he would do the same thing—promote the African sound.

Many people are delighted about Davido’s upcoming tour of the United States and Canada, including the singer who recently visited the Eithad for the Premier League game between Man City and Chelsea and was there when Manchester City won the English championship.

Additionally, Davido recently recalled how he fled his father’s $60 million house in Lagos to reside in a friend’s studio. He claimed that because of his wealthy upbringing, most people assumed he didn’t have to work hard to achieve success. Good thing everything worked out.
