SZA Lands Seven More Gold And Platinum Certifications For Tracks Off Her “SOS” Hit Album

American singer, SZA’s last album was released almost a year ago, yet its popularity continues to grow, and the stats continue to prove it.

The Top Dawg Entertainment star received seven new gold and platinum certifications, according to a tally released by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on Tuesday, February 20. Every one of them was for a song that was included in the SOS for 2022.

The album’s lead track, “Good Days,” has sold over six million equivalent units since its release on December 25, 2020, and is now certified six times platinum. It is tied for SZA’s highest-certified hit with “Love Galore,” a song from 2017 that features Travis Scott. This isn’t SZA and Scott’s first joint RIAA win. A deep cut from SOS called “Open Arms” has one million equivalent units of platinum certification.

With almost four million units sold, “Snooze,” which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, is certified four times platinum. The Grammy-winning track, which was produced by Babyface and Leon Thomas, has been on the popular singles chart every week since it debuted in late December 2022. It is presently ranked No. 7 on the Hot 100.

Other songs on SOS certified include “I hate u” (3x platinum) “Ghost in the Machine” featuring Phoebe Bridgers (platinum), “Seek & Destroy” (gold) and “conceited” (gold). With these 7 new RIAA Awards, SZA now has 20 of 23 songs on sos certified.
